About Jennifer, Lead Florist & Flower Farmer
I love envisioning and transforming spaces through unique, one of a kind florals, tailored to each couple and the season, from the original floral concept to my hyper local flower sourcing. My goal is to elevate the venue with lush, romantic and nature inspired floral elements that reflect you as a couple and your story.
My path to floristry wasn’t a direct one, as I initially set out to be a marine biologist, then public health professional, finally finding floristry. As a wedding florist, I combine my skills in project management, collaboration and strategic planning with my design and artistic passion. As a flower farmer, I have a deep awareness for seasonality. This rhythmic awareness of nature makes me a better florist, as I incorporate these learnings into my designs for a very natural garden-inspired and timeless look.
My Flower Philosophy
Local Sourcing
I create floral arrangements that are a snapshot in time, representing what’s growing and looks best on your wedding day. That means I carefully select flowers and foliage from our rose farm, and source other ingredients from flower farmers within a thirty mile radius.
Sustainability
At the end of your event, I only want to have natural ingredients left over which is why I avoid using anything that isn’t reusable in my designs. I love incorporating vintage vases and urns I’ve collected when possible.
Relationships
I really enjoy meeting each couple, making sure their florals are an extension of themselves and their unique style. Each year, I only commit to a select number of weddings so I can be available to my couples!
Our Rose Farm
We grow a variety of garden roses on our small family farm, specifically varieties most popular in wedding floral designs. Our roses are ultra romantic, feminine, ruffled and sweetly scented, far different than the roses you’d find in the grocery store. The blooms range from mauve Koko loco roses, buttery Honey Dijons, to heirloom varieties that are only used in my designs.
You can bet any of my designs will be full of roses that enhance your color palette if seasonality allows!
